1. Declarations you make
By accepting the consent banner you declare that:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you are a healthcare professional, health-discipline student or educator, or are otherwise using the platform for legitimate educational purposes;
- you understand that Virtual Clinic is an educational tool and not a certified medical device;
- you are authorised, under your employment, institutional policy and applicable law, to process the documents you analyse.
2. Confidentiality undertaking
You will treat every document you analyse as confidential patient information. Before analysis you will pseudonymise or remove, wherever reasonably possible: names, initials, dates of birth, national health or insurance numbers, addresses, telephone numbers, e-mail addresses, facility identifiers and any other directly identifying data. You remain the data controller for that material.
3. Verification undertaking
You will independently verify every clinically relevant output — including drug names, doses, units, interactions, contraindications, laboratory reference ranges, ICD-10 codes and guideline statements — against an authoritative primary source before any professional use. You will never copy an unverified AI output into a medical record, referral, prescription or patient-facing communication.
4. Local storage acknowledgement
You acknowledge and agree that:
- all case titles and conversation history are stored in your browser's localStorage on this device, not on our servers;
- anyone with access to this device profile can read that stored history;
- we cannot recover, export or delete your local data for you, and data lost through clearing site data is unrecoverable;
- on shared or clinical workstations you will use a private window and/or the "Wipe all local data" control before leaving the device.
5. AI transmission acknowledgement
You acknowledge that the extracted text you choose to attach, together with your messages, is transmitted over an encrypted connection to a third-party AI model provider for the sole purpose of generating your answer, and that it is not stored by Virtual Clinic. You accept responsibility for what you choose to attach.
6. Acceptable use
You will not use the platform to provide medical advice to patients, to automate clinical decisions, to generate misleading medical content, to process data unlawfully, or to attempt to compromise the platform or other users.
7. Consequences of breach
Breach of this agreement may result in immediate withdrawal of access and may expose you to professional, regulatory and legal consequences under your national medical confidentiality and data-protection law.
