1. What we do not use
- No advertising or profiling cookies.
- No analytics or session-recording cookies.
- No third-party social or embedded tracking pixels.
- No cross-site or cross-device identifiers.
Because we set no non-essential cookies, no consent is required under Article 5(3) of Directive 2002/58/EC (the ePrivacy Directive) for analytics or marketing — we simply do not run any.
2. Strictly necessary browser storage
| Key | Type | Purpose | Retention |
|---|---|---|---|
vc.consent | localStorage | Records that you accepted the Terms, User Agreement, Cookie Policy and Medical Disclaimer, and the version accepted. | Until withdrawn or site data cleared |
vc.cases.v1 | localStorage | Stores your case threads: titles, timestamps and conversation messages, so you can return to a review. | Until deleted, wiped or site data cleared |
Both entries are first-party, readable only by this origin, and never transmitted to us. Everything you type and every document you analyse is held in these keys or in page memory only.
3. Why localStorage rather than a server
Storing case history locally means we operate no user database, hold no clinical records and have nothing to breach. The trade-off is that your history is device-bound and cannot be recovered by us — see the User Agreement.
4. Managing and deleting local data
- Use Wipe all local data in the workspace sidebar to delete every case immediately.
- Delete a single case from the sidebar case list.
- Clear site data for this domain in your browser settings to remove everything, including your consent record.
- Use a private/incognito window to leave no persistent trace.
Withdraw consent and erase local data now
This deletes your consent record and every locally stored case from this browser. You will be asked to accept the terms again before re-entering the workspace.
5. Technical connections
Sending a message opens an encrypted connection to our server function so the AI model can stream a reply. No cookie is set by that request and no message content is logged or retained. See the Security & Data Handling notice.
6. Changes to this policy
If we ever introduce additional storage, this table will be updated and the consent banner will be shown again before the change takes effect.
