Every output is a language-model generated text produced for learning and drafting support. It is not medical advice, not a diagnosis, not a treatment recommendation and not a triage decision.
2. Not a certified medical device
Virtual Clinic has not undergone conformity assessment and is not CE-marked as a medical device under Regulation (EU) 2017/745 (MDR) or Regulation (EU) 2017/746 (IVDR). It is not registered with any national competent authority, has not been clinically validated, and carries no intended medical purpose within the meaning of those regulations. It must not be deployed in any clinical pathway, care protocol or documented decision-making process.
3. No clinician–patient relationship
Use of Virtual Clinic does not create a clinician–patient relationship, a professional consultation, or any duty of care between you and the operators of the platform. Responsibility for every clinical decision remains entirely with the treating healthcare professional.
4. Emergencies
Never use Virtual Clinic in an emergency. In a medical emergency in the European Union call 112, or your local emergency number. Do not delay seeking professional help because of anything read on this platform.
5. Known limitations of AI output
- Language models can produce fluent but incorrect content ("hallucination"), including invented references, dosages, reference ranges and guideline citations.
- Model knowledge has a cut-off date and may not reflect the current version of ESC, EASL, ERS, EULAR, NICE, WHO or national guidance.
- Local text extraction may misread scanned documents, handwriting, tables, columns or images. Scanned image-only PDFs may yield no text.
- The model sees only the text you attach; missing history, imaging, examination findings and context can materially change interpretation.
- Outputs may reflect biases present in training data and may not generalise across populations, age groups, pregnancy or rare disease.
6. Verification duty
You must independently verify every clinically relevant statement — especially medication names, doses, units, contraindications, reference ranges, and guideline recommendations — against an authoritative primary source and the current summary of product characteristics (SmPC) before acting on it.
7. Patient data
Pseudonymise or anonymise documents before analysis. Remove names, dates of birth, national health identifiers, addresses and contact details. You remain the controller of any personal data you choose to process and are responsible for your lawful basis under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national medical confidentiality law.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operators of Virtual Clinic accept no liability for any clinical, financial or other loss arising from use of, or reliance on, the platform's output. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
